Finished episode 5 and no Chubby Karen leading a rebel group in an apocalypse still does not make sense...

Yes she has a backstory which they tied in with Henry and Sam but the character is completely nonsensical...Chubby Karen acting was downright terrible, stereotypical corny strong woman trope bossing around idiot dudes for Twitter agenda checkbox purposes...To make matters worse, they clearly changed Henry and Sam to accommodate her inclusion into the story...

This ISNT a military group. These are just ppl fighting against the rape and torture they have endured. Her brother was a great leader and they never said he had military experience.
The value she provided is she planned the whole thing to overthrow Fedra. There have been countless shows where the "leader" isnt the military minded one, but delegates that duty to someone who is.
