After rewatching the initial trailer
I truly don’t think Ellie has a sister..
Plus look how the infected haven’t matured in the advancement of the virus..
Like the trailer with Ellie..
If it’s two disc and this is ND’s biggest game..
We could possibly be dealing with two timelines that converge at some point towards the end..
We all know(or at least fans of ND games)..
Misdirection is their MO..
As stated so many times in this thread..
Also I think people are jumping on Joel’s/Dina’s death a little too soon..
It’s highly probable for one of them to die at some point(or both)
But if the theme of this story is “revenge”..
You have to take in all the major deaths that happened in the first game..
(Excluding Sam and Henry)

So you have to remember not only do we still have the remnants of the Fireflies..
But we also have a New Cult..
And Cannibals..
Roaming around..
Probably still looking for Ellie/Joel..
And the other apostate I’m thinking was Marlene mentioned in the first trailer..
Now I could be wrong(hell I think everybody’s theories have some truth to them since Anna is supposed to be a very important role)..
But these 3 trailers haven’t really told us anything..
It would be a trip that the hand around her mouth was Bill’s
And I also wouldn’t put the possibility of Tommy dying and not Joel..

The Joel reveal seem to be in the same house of the first teaser, were Ellie has murdered a bunch of people and (what seemed to be a "ghost" version of) Joel asks her what was she going to do.
So either Joel gets killed in that house and baby girl goes HAM on everybody and starts having "visions" of Joel. Or the old man joins her after finding her in that house with all those bodies and realizing she is gonna go on a revenge killing spree.

Theres definitely multiple timelines going on. I believe 3 as well. 2 different physiques for Ellie in this new trailer. The scene where she is shirtless on the bed made me think it was the Mystery Woman from the trailer you just posted cause she was very muscular, more muscular than Ellie was been shown even in recent trailers. But not nearly the size of the Mystery woman after watching again. So I think theres a definite time jump after what I believe is the Dina betrayal. Dina's group kills Joel, timeskip for Ellie and thats when we see Mystery Woman's story which I think will be a technical flashback to before all the Ellie/Joel/Dina stuff happens. Giving us insight on the group Dina will be a part of and fleshing them out as the antagonist. However that wraps up, it returns to the timeskip of a more grizzled and brolic Ellie (shirtless on the bed Ellie) and maybe Mystery Woman (sister or mom) meets Ellie when they both try to kill that group. Ellie will need a partner and since Joel is dead and Tommy isnt the type to do shyt for anyone, her partner will be the Mystery Woman.
I also think the reason that Dina's group refers to Ellie as Wolf is a mistaken identity thing since they look so similar. Wolf is Mystery Woman but since her and Ellie look alike, the Group is none the wiser.
Joel, Tommy, whoever, all i know is i need someone to run that OG brick to the back of the head followed by a rushing spiked bat to the face combo.
Just for clarity, if you buy the physical game this time around, they give you the digital game as well correct?

No hate I thought the MP on the first one was dope and I’m sure this will be even better, but 90% of the love and anticipation this series gets is for the story/characters
If TLOU wasn't made by ND it wouldn't be as hyped as it is neither

Only reason why I don't believe the MW is a flashback is the fact that the cult people are apart of the same timeline as Ellie's. Those cult people never showed up in the original game and they have a distinct kill style with hanging people then ripping their guts out. Since Joel basically killed the head of the Fireflys, i'm assuming between then and now, the Cult basically took over the Fireflys role.
If they do it like they did the first game, they showed the MP right before it launched. They had a trailer Jun 4th and the game launched the 13th.nd just gon act like the multi player ain't just as important as the story
