Bet Dina is a mole for some other group, her actions get Joel killed. Ellie goes after Dina and the group for revenge

Everybody is forgetting about the rumors of Ellie’s mom in this game..
She could be the potentially murdered person before Ellie..
After a short reunion..
Dina could be the “daughter” of David..
This is a game of “revenge”..
So I could definitely see Dina exacting revenge on killing Joel in front of her..
After getting close to Ellie..
Or..
The implied “rape” and murder is actually Dina..
Just three theories I have..

If the gen ended in 2018, Sony would have closed out with God of War as the GOTG.

They are really about to drop 2 GOTG quality games in the span of 2 years.

look how long nikkas had to wait for KH3 and Shenmue 3 it is what it is...these games take longer to make now

As a Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy fan, the wait for this game was a cakewalk.

I'm noticing that people probably didn't play the DLC (that I believe comes with the Remastered Edition now), because Left Behind goes into detail with Ellie and Riley.

Plus it's not even an agenda because we play as Ellie in the first game too. She's older now, and Joel is in his fifties, so it makes more sense that she's out here leading her own game. (Not that being in your 50s means you're washed automatically, but seeing as how Joel went through damn near everything in the first game... )

I just didn't care to play it. Sure there are many others who were in the same boat. It came out months after multiplayer stopped being fun.

Personally..
I don’t have a problem with the ”agenda”.
Naughty Dog has always been A1 with story telling(UC4 was shaky though)
They never really force an “agenda” in any of there games..
This is like saying Jak/Daxter were more than homies..
And they were pushing the “agenda” back then
Even if you haven’t played the DLC..
Ellie’s orientation has been known for awhile..
I don’t see that being a problem for the story
It’s always a rhyme/reason to ND storylines..
They just don’t force feed things
