Been a few weeks since I finished this, man the atmosphere, combat and the overall ride of the story was something else, I loved this game man...ND did not deserve the shytstorm they got for this at all
No lie, i've seen some people who HATED the game. Appreciating the game now. Since Halo Infinite's showcase was so underwhelming. They're saying sorry to ND because NOW that they've SEEN actual lazy, untalented game developers and how bad shyt can get. NOW (better late than never i guess) they see how much hard work was put into TLOU2 (at least graphically) down to the smallest detail. Halo Infinite has been in development for 5 years, over 2000 devs, 500 million in budget, and is next gen. TLOU2 was in development for 7 years (i think), less devs (i believe), around 100 million in budget, and is current gen/made for the ORIGINAL less than 2 Tflops PS4. People can say what they want about ND, and their story for TLOU2 being shyt to them or what not. But they cannot call ND lazy, complacent, untalented etc (in any category imo, and yes that includes storytelling).
I'm currently playing through Uncharted 4 for the first time. I'm only on chapter 8. So far i think it's ok. I feel like one thing that was unappreciated by people is how quick TLOU2 game grabs you. The lore at the very beginning is amazing. Within 2 hours the story, and gameplay grabs you. For instance, you go from a fun playful snowball fight. To shyt hitting the fan not long after. UC4 hasn't really grabbed me. Chapter 7 things heat up a little. A kinda weird example is RDR2 (i don't like RDR2). The first mission where that legendary music play when you start shooting. It makes the player feel like shyt is going down, right away. It grabs you.
I can't lie though. Any game i've played recently. Made me miss TLOU2's atmosphere even more.
Apparently Cyberpunk misses the cut off for GOTY?
if this wins GOTY the emotions are gonna be fukking hilarious
The most annoying criticism I see..Story spoilers.
