i just got to seattle day 1


its crazy how the trialers tricked us i thought diana ellie friend was gonna get raped and murdered that would set her off on the revenge tour

now i wat revenge :demonic:

i want abby bad :demonic:

survivor is easy so far ...

the only part i got stuck on when you play ass abby and you in that room where you got to hold the zombies off

i just have survivor on does it auo make it harder or do i need to make some adjustments
i still see that r1 focus button is on i dont really need it

will there be a dlc grounded mode ?

Yeah after thinking about the ending again

ND knows they fukked up especially after all the reactions. Obviously some people are just alt right trolls who are offended by everything but I understand the outrage after experiencing the ending.
They could have gotten the same ending with a different character getting killed off :mjlol:. The duo is the icon of the series not Ellie by herself and now they realize they have destroyed a major character for nothing.
But I guess to get the emotional roller coaster response they want from users, it had to be Joel. Ellie's girl dying wouldn't have much of an impact on as fan favorite Joel dying so they took the risk and chose Joel:yeshrug:

If you want to make it harder

Don't use senses and turn off aim assist.

I turned off that big ass weapon wheel too.

After that if all your sliders are on survivor ur a rider

They stuck to the integrity of telling their story. Both Ellie and Abby are on the same revenge plot. You're actually playing as Abby after she got what she wanted where as Ellie she's trying to get the revenge Abby got.

Joel wasn't a good person. He was the hero of part 1 but was selfish from day 1. If it wasn't Abby it'd be someone else that got him.
And Joel's death in that matter is the only thing that would've sent Ellie into that much of rage to continue on as long as she did.

And truthfully, there was nothing else for Joel to do as a character. He would've just been tagging along had it been Dina who died instead of him. Joel redeemed himself and was damn near chilling in Jackson building guitars and miniatures lol.. At that point he's just there to be there... It wouldn't have really done him justice to keep him alive..

And throughout the journey you saw Ellie trying to be Joel, but she's not. She tried to interrogate Owen like Joel, but it didn't work and she killed a pregnant woman. Ellie not built to carry that weight like Joel was.

Joel would've killed Abby with no hesitation, but Ellie couldn't. Joel could've let Marlene live and still got away, but instead killed her to be certain. Cold blooded..

At the end Ellie was left with nothing because of her desire for revenge, her and Abby both lost everything behind wanting revenge. That's the story.

Her leaving Joel's guitar behind at the end:mjcry:

Even though the Abby sections were good, they saved all the cool shyt for Abby's sections while we had Ellie running around Seattle like an idiot. I wanted to play a little bit more as Ellie and they gave a little too much time to Abby. We waited 7 years to play as Ellie not as Abby. It was a cool perspective though but next time the MAJORITY of play time should go to the main fukking character. Yeah Joel is old but he could still have a part to play in Ellie's story. That's what pisses people off the most it feels like a major character death was wasted because the developers didn't know how else to elicit emotional responses on the same level of the first game. It seems lazy to some people.
I thought I wanted a Part 3 and I even recently made a Part 3 thread but I feel they should just end it here.
They are going to fukk up the story even more with Neil Druckman in charge as a lot of ND's writers and devs that worked on previous AAA games have left
One of the reasons one of their head developers Amy left is because of creative differences with Neil
I guarantee you the original TLOU writing team had a way better story planned for Part 2 than Neil.

I think he's talking playing the "immersive experience."

Turn off all the HUD... I probably could get away with it in this game actually since I use so little ammo. I might try if I play it again:ohhh:

Just finished it, what a ride.

The ending was OK but nothing actually happened apart from Abbie and Ellie sparing each other, parting ways then Ellie going back to the farm to have some final thoughts about Joel - which may make some people think the Santa Barbra part of the game wasn't really needed - which I kinda get but it was cool to see a more summery environment with palm trees in a decayed state. Was kinda hoping we'd pick up with Abby and Lev again to see how their story concluded but I guess thats something they'll be saving for the third game - if they make one (which I'm pretty sure they will).

But yeah on the whole the game was outstanding from start to finish. Really impressive stuff - God knows what a sequel on PS5 will look like because this is easily the best looking game I've played.
