Word. I'm definitely thinking that the 25 hour range is if you're just going straight through the map and not exploring. Being stealthy also takes a quite a bit of time too, considering there's times when you're likely to die if you just start blasting.

This is still a great game but I don't feel like from a story perspective it belongs in the company of its predecessor. At this point even with the issues I have with it I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10 minimum.

From a narrative perspective if I had to compare this to something the Star Wars sequel trilogy would sufice. By that I mean if you're mostly around for the original characters prepare to be disappointed. Other than really the one on the cover this is a game about a mostly new cast of characters. It does tie into the last game's plot but the cast of this one mostly didn't exist in that game. It doesn't seem like they planned this sequel.

Maybe another comparison is the final season of Lost. It's on par with that story wise to me.

a lot of ppl place as much emphasis if not more on stories as they do gameplay so I can understand the outrage even tho for me gameplay is paramount...I’ve never held video game stories to a high standard although ND does it very well...what I don’t understand is the obsessiveness over a game that one has clearly decided not to play...like dudes literally have been bytching for 2 months...they probably haven’t even mourned actual lost loved ones as long smh
