It actually got spoiled for me by some clown in the arcadium, but I didn't expect it to happen so early in the game and it caught me off guard

I get that they only came to get their target (and gotdamn did they fear Joel cause they brought the whole squad out for him. ), but any time you do dirt, you get rid of the witnesses that aren't loyal to you. Tommy is every bit as capable as Joel, so surely they must've known that an angry Tommy would not bode well for the future. And they don't know Ellie, so that should've rang alarm bells in their heads because she's a wild card (and surprise surprise, that's exactly what's happening).
That one guy, Jordan I think it was his name, was about to kill Ellie and they stopped him for whatever reason.
...But real talk, I suspect Dina. If they were looking for Joel, how'd they know to look in Jackson of all places? And Dina just happened to know where Ellie was. She's also close to Ellie at all times, and is extremely thirsty to her. Idunno breh, I think she's a fukking rat. I don't trust her.

Ellie is confirmed to be 19, so Dina must be around 19-23. She looks slightly older than Ellie, but not by much.
