I like the show. No real filler. Good action. Rewatched the whole series to prepare for 3. Thoughts:

Uhthred- hotheaded, a lot of the time to his detriment. Can fight and is strategic at times. Sometimes I can understand his reactions, most times I cant. Like when he killed the Abbot. That didn’t help anything except Alfred keep his foot on his neck.

Guhthred - can’t wait for Unthred to take him out.

Alfred - him not trusting Uhthred is making me not like him. Binging this shyt, Alfred has fukked over Uhthred more than the other way around. Alfred set up Uhthred with debt with his marriage to Mildrith. Uhthred saved Alfred’s son’s life using Isuelt. Which ended up killing Uhthred’s son. Blackmailed him into swearing an oath to him or let Ragnar be killed/lock up. At first when Uhthred didn’t show him respect and acted hotheaded, I felt where Alfred was coming from. Now he just on some bullshyt.

Alfred’s wife - fukk her espcially in s1.

Aethalead - I like her. She’s intelligent. Was rooting for her and Erik lol. I wish they showed more of how her and Uhthred became so close. Seems like that relationship came outta nowhere.

Aethalred - Think they missed an opportunity to have a smart villain character to go against Alfred and Uhthred.Thought he could maybe be a little finger or something. He isn’t strategic and can’t fight. Just another lord being lead around on a string by his second in command. Think he may be gay too. Anally raping Aethalead. Then the “she would be lucky to have you” comment his number 2 said to him while they were looking in the mirror. Looks suspect to me.

Leofric’s nephew/Alfred’s b*stard - seems to serve no purpose so far. Can’t fight and isn’t strategic.

Odda - A true man serving the realm. Killed his son for the realm. He was right in calling Alfred out on giving up the ransom for Athalead.

I really wish Leofric was alive and still riding with Uhthred.

I started to like him when they revealed that he was bout that life at the end of season 1 but he ain't a bright fella. I still like him over Alfred and his sanctimonious bullshyt though.

My thoughts are the same. He grew on me earlier on. Took a bit of a hit for me when he fell for Erik’s dead man prophecy ploy though. I thought that maybe he was in on it, but he wasn’t. He’s not as bright as some others but he had his moments of talking his way out of things. He does have a good eye for seeing opportunities though.

rewatching season 1 right now

forgot that Alfred was a freak in season 1 :mjlol:

Pastor walk in, catch a big booty ho leaving his room, "perhaps you should bring her into your service"

"you're right, I should. :jbhmm: would be a divine test :jbhmm: she should stay very close to my side. :jbhmm: praise him :blessed:"

the episode when Uhtred got married to Mildredth and Alfred was on his creep :mjlit: asking Odder questions about the marriage ceremony

"was he smitten with her?" :mjlit:

Odder was mad confused like :patrice:
