Maybe it'll work out, but I'd rather he keep working at center and give Steen, Driscoll, Opeta or whoever a shot there. Jurgens seems too small to play guard to me
I think their thought process is even as the longterm center it's still more beneficial for Jurgens to get live reps at guard inbetween Kelce & Lane rather than ride the bench waiting for an injury. So he's gonna get a legit chance to win the job and they'll take it from there.Steen and dikkerson should be the guards. Keep grooming Jurgens to eventually replace Kelce. He can back all 3 for now
Seumalo - 6'4 304lbsi think they are giving cam a "shot" but somebody made a good point, cam at guard is one thing, kelce at center is one thing, kelce at center and cam at guard is an interior size issue that maybe should not be entertained
True. Another counter point was we trying to get back to the SB, do we want a rookie protecting our franchise and to be dependent on him when we ran the ball so well. I Can see both sides.S

Howie mentioned when he did the Kelce podcast how part of staying ahead of the curve is taking advantage of outliers. When the rest of the league is fading players who don't meet a certain height/weight threshold you can benefit. That's how we ended up with DeVonta at 10, signed Reddik for cheap, grabbed Nolan at 30, etc - basically they don't give a fukk as long as you can play
