I knew literally nothing or care about this time period so I couldn't tell you how true to the supposed history it was.

Netflix didn't advertise it but it wasn't trying to be historically accurate because it's actually a loose adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry IV: Part 1, 2, and Henry V.
