You tend to forget how empty and injured last year's team truly was.

Mozgov, Delly, and Iman all played injured. No Love, No Kyrie, No Varejao.

Shawn Marion, Brendan Haywood, Kendrick Perkins, and Mike Miller were completely washed and couldn't be played.

Joe Harris shouldn't have been in the NBA.

That leaves JR, LeBron, TT, and James Jones as the only fully healthy available players.

Only thing that I'm not sold on yet is this team's mental toughness and overall consistency for 48 minutes.

They have the talent to win this series.

Breh James Jones got over 100 minutes in the finals last year....:mindblown:that should tell you everything.

People forget that it was probably Marion who had the biggest issue with Blatt. Remember the local media in Cleveland were asking why Marion wasn't playing in the finals. Blatt was like he is hurt then when the media spoke to Marion he was like man I am healthy and can play.

There was some shyt between those two guys and as said last year in the finals Blatt needed his ass fired for waiting so long to play Miller and never playing Marion. When your bench is that short and dudes are out for the playoffs you play every available veteran.

Also to all the Cavs fans I stand corrected. The team that lost in finals the year before and played the rematch finals the next year against the same team are 6-1 since 1970.

Below is a recap.

In 1973 the knicks defeat the Lakers 4-1 after losing the year before to the knicks 4-1.

In 1979 the Sonics beat the Bullets 4-1 after losing to the Bullets in 1978....4-3 (bullets won game 7 in Seattle which was the last team to win game 7 on the road in the finals).

In 1983 the sixers defeat the Lakers 4-0 after losing to them in the finals the year before 4-2.

In 1985 the Lakers defeat the Celtics 4-2 after losing to the Celtics in the finals the year before 4-3.

In 1989 the pistons defeat the Lakers 4-0 after losing to the lakers in the finals the year before 4-3.

In 1998 the Utah Jazz lose to the bulls 4-2 after losing to them the year before in the finals 4-2.

In 2014 the Spurs defeat the heat 4-1 after losing to the heat the year before in the finals 4-3.

So as you can see the team seeking revenge is 6-1 in these rematch finals (back to back years).

As I said at the start of the season I believed the Cavs would win the championship as long as they were healthy and I still feel that way.

Cavs over warriors in 5 or 6.

Below are the Basketball Power Index chances to win the NBA title for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Numbers updated daily.

ESPN's NBA Basketball Power Index (BPI) is a forward-looking measure of team quality. There are a number of factors BPI takes into account, such as strength of opponent, pace, game location and rest
