He needs to come off the bench and LeBron needs to start at the four.
Irving - Smith - Shumpert - James - Mozgov
Cavs are trying to get him ready to play the 5 in their small line up. He doesn't fit on the court with them 2 years in consistently. It looks forced whenever they try to placate him. Offense slows down and allows the opposing defense to reset.
He's missing a lot of wide open shots. I can't believe how difficult it is for them to blow teams out. They should be at that +10 plus/minus level like GS/Spurs with all the talent they have.
LeBron looked like a natural 4 when he ran it. Could rebound and push it up the court. Lanes wide open and spacing everywhere.
I've always thought that the natural progression for LeBron towards the end would be him transitioning to PF, I don't get why he's been so resistant to the idea, especially with how effective Draymond Green has been for the Warriors.
I don't think the Cavs will get a star back for him, but they could look around and maybe try things like -
Favors + Burks
Johnson + Tobias Harris
They should have tried to make a trade for Al Horford to be perfectly honest, he's perfect for what the Cavs need and I'd be willing to bet the Hawks would have done Love for him since they were shopping him and it's uncertain whether or not he'll resign with them.
