Martin is pretty terrible.

Would take Kevin Martin over Joe Johnson any day. Martin is just as good or better than Johnson, plus he's younger as well. Plus Martin's stats are pretty similar to Johnson's except that Martin plays 12.5 minutes less per game (21.4 minutes per game avg) than Johnson (33.9 minutes per game avg)

I don't know if you've seen any T'Wolves games this season but his play has been pretty bad. Even verging on comical. JJ is most certainly over the hill, but nobody in their right mind would even entertain taking Martin over him. Especially even entertaining the idea that Martin might be better.

He averaged 20ppg last year. Why did he fall off so bad? Maybe it's the environment, crazy fall off for him tho

In regards to his shot, it's probably to do with being phased outta the offense and he hasn't been able to get his grove back - not to mention he's been dealing with a lingering wrist injury for most of the season. In regards to everything else, he's horrible. He's basically just a broken shooting machine that gets rolled out onto the court every game.

I actually watch all the NBA teams breh and Kevin Martin hasn't been as bad as you're making him out to be. And based on what the Cavs would have needed, he would have been a better option than trash JJ plus at his age, he's a little more athletic.

Also let's look at career & current numbers

JJ - 17 pts per game (career)
KM - 17.6 pts per game (career)

JJ - 11.8 pts per game (season)
KM - 10.6 pts per game (season) with KM playing 12.5 mins less than JJ this season

3pt %
JJ - .371 (current & career avg)
KM - .369 current & .385 career avg

KM is also a better career free throw shooter & has a better career fg %avg than JJ.

So really, I think maybe it's you that doesn't know what they're "talking" about. JJ has always been overhyped as a premier player when in reality he isn't that efficient of a shooter & his stats look better than what they really are as he needs large amount of minutes & shots per game in order to score. Both KM & JJ are on par with each other overall & personally I think that KM is actually slightly better when you look at his overall skill set & career numbers thus far.

This has more to do with KM's decline than his actual skill set diminishing. And again even though all these factors are correct, he's averaging about the same points per game as JJ with less minutes on the court,

You clearly don't watch T'Wolves/Nets game if you think Martin is better than JJ. Martin has been terrible this season.

i) Why are you referencing career numbers?
ii) Why are you only referencing points per game?

Martin's only good for stretching the floor at this stage of his career (even considering how poor his shooting has been) - he's a liability in every single other area. Johnson is better in almost every regard:

37% shooting on 4.0 three-pt attempts this season (Martin is shooting 37% on 2.6 three-pt attempts)
Can still create his own shot in any situation - one of the best late in-games (Martin is nearly completely incapable of doing so)
Can be a secondary playmaker, create for others - averaging 4 assists this season (Martin is nearly completely incapable of doing so)
Can work on the low block (Martin is completely incapable of doing so)
Can still play competent defense (Martin is completely incapable of doing so - he's a sieve)
Can play multiple positions in type different types of lineups (Martin can only play in one sort of lineup)

I mean you can't expect me to take you seriously if you say you've been watching T'Wolves/Nets games this season , when all you reference is their shooting/scoring numbers for the season (you even had the nerve to list their career shooting numbers, as if they have anything to do with how they're playing this season).

Yeah, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
