Except that he wont foul him and AD is the help defender. Thats why Rui works not that Rui is a great defender himself. His presence is enough to let AD roam

Not just that it really works because of Aaron Gordon and his lack of shooting/camping at the dunkers spot. It essentially allows AD to be in a free flow zone to Jokic. Gordon is gonna have to move/hit shots or Nuggets will need to involve Gordon is action to get AD away from the rim.
