That shyt would never work. An accident would be way worse than a car accident. Imagine getting into an accident in the air and you come crashing down along with the other flying car onto a busy highway in rush hour
:heh:
People crash planes all the time tho and we never see any calls to ban personal aviation. That bytch Amelia Earhart stuck flying around the Bermuda triangle for the last 100 years but that ain't stop one single person from buying their own plane.:yeshrug:

There will never be a Jetsons era without closed airways.

People can't even drive on the ground with friction. Flying everyday traffic that isn't commercial isn't possible in the way the Jetsons painted it. Not because of tech limitations.. it's just not practical or logical. The areas that would allow such traffic would be minimal and out of high population. Like cruising over a desert or some low density remote area
IMO these will all be automated. Flying along automated airways will be a whole lot easier to program than driving a car. Then ading sensors to landing pads. I think it’s easy to do not sure if it’ll be profitable.

theres a new tech called ADS where aircraft automatically report location and flight path. We have all the tech we need.

No runway needed. You land and leave like a helicopter.

Passenger drones are actively a real thing and burgeoning industry, called interchangeably Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) vehicles...or Passenger Drones....or Air Taxis

You can invest in companies that contribute to parts for these vehicles.

But the thing is they are working on a network where you Takeoff and Land at airports, on top of parking garages, and/or at specifically designated transit centers....all called Vertiports.

Florida is developing a network of Vertiports

Thanks for this post. I didn't know about this. The infrastructure is very key to the success at launch. This one of the main reasons EVs haven't taken off in the US. They introduced the cars but the network for chargers was trash and it's confusing as fukk.

Cool, but I'd rather have a high speed train. They invented those in the 1960s, let's start there first.
Yeah right. It's going on 25 years into the 21st century and the airline industry and Amtrak still got politicians bushing any type of highspeed rail. This mode of transportation will be common place for the average American before any meaningful highspeed rail tracks get laid.
That Cali to somewhere else in Cali shyt doesn't count since 95% of the country won't be able to use it. We almost had Maglev from DC, Baltimore, Philly all the way up to NYC in 45 minutes Which is almost a 4 hour drive but bytch ass Musk started babbling about Hyperloop nonsense and it derailed the whole thing when his fakkit ass couldn't deliver anything.
