what I expected from the party, agree that the slutty weirdo chick - and twisty with his following Claire to the car - broke the movie, especially because they even tried redemption by having choi show up, but even with those two major spoilers, it was still a decent movie. I do want to know more about the cult, like why they had to choose people to die and why this set of friend was chosen, but whatever, some movies you just take at face value.

Biggest payoff for me was seeing that red light district at the end

i don't think the film maker was trying to "say something" about dying, salvation, how people death with death or anything and I don't think fleshing out those themes would've done anything to help the film. It's a simple thriller film, I think it accomplished that goal well, especially if you didn't watch any trailers before hand.

You don't see how exploring those themes more would've made the film better....

i kinda liked it until it went dumb slasher in the final 20 minutes. then it got dumb and cheap. but the last shot/twist was kinda dope

I don't think this is a good movie, but it has enough good things about it to make it worth watching. I liked the reveal at the end, I liked the Claire scene, and I thought it created a good sense of tension at times; but as has been said, it's pretty predictable, not only in terms of where the party was leading, but how the scenes played out. For example,

when the weird bald dude took the gun from David, you knew he was gonna start shooting at the guests

I also thought the crazy chick and the guy who played Will overacted a bit.

It's an interesting and memorable movie though.

Not watching any trailers helped make it better for me.

It got generic, but was still tense. Last shot reminded me of a few other movies....but still a solid watch.

This was good.

They did a good job of making you kind of believe it was going one way but then swerving.

One second I thought it was weird sex party then another minute I thought they were about to mark nikkaz then I thought old boy was tweaking and grieving.

Good flick.
