Because this time 20 5-6 year olds were murdered in their classrooms. The one thing Americans don't ever want to see is dead children.

The interesting point in all this is that the guns were obtained legally by the shooters mother. So instead of the conversation being about restricting access to mentally ill individuals, it is now about restricting access to all.

Except you ignored what happened in countries like Venezuela, Egypt, etc..

The people that control drones, thanks, and cruise missiles are people. They are much more willing to jump ship.

The Taliban was actually organized as an army and they were trained by highly designed experts (the CIA) with tactics to fight in battle. The regular American citizen that owns a gun most likely only knows the basics of using a gun not how to fight and use it during warfare.
