I agree but still watching a bad team miss three pointers is much less exciting than mid range shots or layups

Not trying to justify it, just pointing out that every era is the same. You had teams during the late 90s/early 2000s who had 50-point games, were they not missing shots and turning the ball over at a high rate too?

Bad teams will miss shots.

And bad teams will continue to miss shots (3s or no 3s).
