I grew up with American Black gospel music, Mahalia Jackson, Kirk etc. I know that many non-FBA church delegations connect with FBA-churches. I know this to be true for Black people in the Netherlands and UK. I'm not in the church like that, but I know of other who are.
This influence also reflects to musical genres in general like R&B. Perhaps there are deeper layers to why they separate in the States, if truly so. The problem is that people don't talk about this with each other, but talk about one another. Religion is odd and people tend to do with what they've learned and what was passed on. I don't see Black people globally convert to the oldest Black and Orthodox church, which happens to be from Ethiopia. We can wonder why?

Could it be because of propaganda that is propagated on Black Americans? I live overseas and what we see on tv etc is mostly negative stereotypes, it's rarely something very positive. I know better because I greek up with Black Americans (FBA) from the military. However, the average person who looks at Black American content considers ratchet stuff from WorldStar to be Black culture. At times I have to explain that that is not the actual culture.
