Also, I used to be a math tutor on the side so I know the ins and outs of schools.

Black boys are losing out in STEM more than any other category and we're severely underrepresented in that field.

Learning Black history and culture is fine but, if you're giving our kids a watered down curriculum in practical subjects then that damn near misses the whole point of starting up a school for Black boys.

I'd much rather see Black male students go to a regular private or magnet schools where they'll have a chance to have access to a quality education in STEM as opposed to an unaccredited "pro-Black" school that's going to both literally and figuratively dance around the subject while having them go for a GED anyway after wasting time.

That's another thing that Umar supporters overlook. If I had a son registered at Umar's school and his diploma won't be accepted anywhere then he better receive a Stanford or Yale level of education from Umar's classes that would give him vast knowledge on every academic subject so that he'll at least have knowledge on his side to make up for it.

Theoretically they could and there's no one person or institution that alludes to the notion that they cannot. Those kids, like any other kid that would want to transfer would have to take a test. My white co-worker got mad at his local school for shutting down during covid and thinks public schools are "woke" and home schooled his daughter. That only lasted a year and a half. She's a third grader. He put her back into school this year (Aug 2022) and because she didn't have any "accredited" test scores, (reading and math) they couldn't gauge where she placed amongst her peers. She finally took the placement tests with the rest of her peers before Christmas break and now they know where shes at, but unlike the rest of her peers the school doesn't have the data to say "This is where she was in August, this is where she's at now, this is where she was in May of 2022" , etc.
