No he wouldn't.
Yeah he will, hes gonna outbox potato head easy. Potato head gonna be eating stiff jabs and overhands from well outside his range.
Povetkin is alot more skilled overall than Stiverne...but Stiverne had the better tools and attributes to catch up with Wilder.
Povetkin will barely even be in range to catch Wilder with much of anything...Wilder is crude in alot of areas, but one thing he does exceptionally well is dictate range and when he presses the attack it's from mid-to-long range, he's good at not giving up his reach and allowing his opponent to close distance...and Povetkin is not good at all at pressuring and closing distance and cutting off the ring...he doesn't move his head, is slow and has short arms and when kept at mid-range he does nothing but sit in the middle of the ring and try to feint his opponent into counters (kinda similar to what Stiverne does at mid-range)...this may work against other short fighters who are on his eye level and who have similar reach to him...but against a fighter with Wilder's range that attacks from where he usually attacks from?
This matchup is a recipe for disaster for Povetkin.
Thats what he should do, then pull off some Wlad tactics when Povetkin gets inside
Jab and grab...because if povetkin unleashes on the inside

That shyt Wlad pulled against Povetkin was disgraceful...Wilder's gonna show Wlad how to beat to beat a top Heavyweight with pure boxing and no cheap tricks and short cuts...no body slams, headlocks, DDT's, stone cold stunner's, flying forearm smashes etc.

If Povetkin gets inside he can hurt wilder, povetkin had trouble getting inside with wlad but wlad is the goat.

Povetkin couldn't do nothing with Takam in the center of the ring either. Takam doesn't have the reach/range and jab of Wilder. And Povetkin had trouble getting inside on Wlad because 1. he's slow as shyt. 2. He's not an effective pressure fighter, he's a close quarters counter-puncher and infighter who needs his opponent to take the lead. 3. His offense was predictable as hell and he used the same feinted jab to the body and left hook over the top, but would dip low everytime he was about to throw the left hook and Wlad would just jump on his back and throw him in a headlock everytime he dipped low.
