On August 5, 1987, actor Matthew Broderick was driving on a country road in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland with then-girlfriend (and Ferris Bueller's Day Off co-star) Jennifer Grey when his car veered into the wrong lane, colliding with an oncoming vehicle. The two passengers of the other car -- 30-year-old Anna Gallagher and her 63-year-old mother Margaret Doherty -- were killed instantly. Broderick spent a month in the hospital but because of memory loss, he was unable to explain what happened. It was determined that the actor wasn't drunk at the time of the accident, and he was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, although he was eventually convicted only of careless driving, escaping with a $175 fine. Initially upset at the ruling, the victims' family has since come to terms with it and met with Brodderick in 2003 to gain a sense of closure.

On the evening of November 6, 1963, future First Lady of the United States Laura Bush née Welch was driving with a friend on a rural highway in Midland, Texas when she ran a stop sign and broadsided another car. The driver of the other vehicle, 17-year-old Michael Dutton Douglas, a classmate and friend of Welch's, was killed. Welch, who wasn't reported to be drinking or speeding, wasn't charged and received only minor injuries.

They didnt mean to do it though....two totally different situations :mjpls:

Nope.
I personally believe dude is just answering for every other thing every person who looks like him has ever done and "gotten away with". Like America is just venting some pent up collective rage at the kid. A scapegoat pretty much.

He's that little black boy somebody's daughter tried to bring home for Thanksgiving dinner and mom and dad didn't have the courage to say "no, his kind's not welcome here"

He's that young black transfer student that took Bradley's starting position on the Basketball team just 2 weeks into the season

He's those black boys down the street that walk to the bus stop every morning cursing with pants sagging and waking up the neighbors being loud and inconsiderate

Chris Brown is every young black male that did something that somebody didn't like and didn't have the courage to address it

Quoted for emphasis.

It also doesn't help that when he opens his mouth most of the time you just wanna tell him to shut the fukk up. I didn't even know how stupid he was until he went on Larry King.

That shyt had me like :wtf: "Did this nikka even go to middle school...he can barely get through a sentence."

I believe it was Paul Mooney who said "It couldn't have been the first time those two got into it, Chris actually bit that girl, you'd only bite when you're scared, that island girl likely had been whipping his ass"

people seem to like to justify their hatred/whatever at him because "he's a celebrity" while ignoring that we are talking about a what at the time 19 year old kid.

he needs a mentor/advisor badly.

So I see people are still acting like hating on Chris Brown = defending Rihanna.

Yeah, because it's not like he did any dumb stuff since that incident, like throwing a temper tantrum at GMA and damaging property, getting involved in a fight in a club that injured people, stealing someone's iPhone just because they wanted to record him, constantly responding with anger/arrogance to people on Twitter who speak about the Rihanna incident (even though he doesn't have to respond at all), etc............and all of this was after claiming that he changed his ways and was sorry about letting his anger get the best of him.

Like others have said before, the reason why so many people still hate him is because he's always in the news for something negative, not just because he was in the news for something negative that happened years ago. And he's always the reason for it. People can talk about the comedienne all they want; she still has just as much a right to criticize Brown as Brown has the right to respond.........unfortunately, he keeps responding in the wrong way, which is the real reason why he's in the news again. He thought he was making the woman look foolish with those disgusting comments, but it backfired.
