Sorry for this essay in advance, brehs :Bruhwtf:

When your ethnic group is at the bottom, you'll have fickle people in your midst who are just looking for a chance to jump ship because your collective "brand" is low. Their problem is that they lack vision, context and knowledge of history so they come to believe that the current misfortunes of their people are the result of some inherent cultural inferiority. If this is what you believe on a subconscious level, it naturally follows that you'll want to get as far away from this "inferior" culture and anyone that reminds you of it.

It comes with the territory breh and every marginalized group in the history of mankind has had to deal with those people.:yeshrug:

You just have to realize that in the end, most people are just followers. You need to let go of the idea that in order for change to happen, you will need to "awaken the masses". It's a futile endeavor. All you need is a small dedicated group of people to set a standard and lead the way. When you make this realization, these barking dogs won't bother you anymore. They can only harm themselves tbh.

My point is, if you focus too much on all of the dysfunctional shyt that accompanies being from a fragmented, marginalized and opressed community of people, you will eventually lose your mind. This shyt is sadly just part of the package and will only truly disappear when fortunes change.

Breh, the more I consider and synthesize what I've learned about history, social dynamics, and natural selection, the more I start to think DuBois was right about a "talented tenth".
The general ignorance and complete apathy towards seeking enlightenment or engaging in critical inquiry amongst the masses of Black people, who arguably need the weapon of knowledge THE MOST, used to fill me with so much :scust:, :pacspit:, and :mjcry:.
But I've begun to realize, that ever believing there would someday be some kind of mass awakening of Black consciousness was a foolish expectation at worst and an improbable one at best. :wow:

Rather, a far more likely to succeed tactic would be a relatively small group of leaders and thinkers socially engineering and manipulating the rest to modify their behaviors such that it results in a net benefit to the race despite their own weaknesses. Garvey got close at the turn of the century, but he was too public and the CACs got him out the paint at the critical hour. The NOI got even closer in the 60's but once again the CACs sabotaged and derailed the movement. :francis:

If we ever hope to see that change, it'll have to be a movement that sweeps through the nation before they even get a chance to recognize that something is changing. :lupe:
