The Hangover III is abysmal.

Never understood the hype of any of these movies. First one was ok but it was more about the shock of certain scenes. The replay never did anything for me.

Cant stand when yall do this... The 2nd movie was wack and 3 looks like its gonna be trash too but the original was funny. Stop with the revisionst history :upsetfavre:
Right now all of a sudden nobody liked the first one :aicmon: that shyt was funny, maybe not the funniest movie ever but dont disrespect it. the 2nd was ok but that was because everybody knew what to expect and it had unrealistic expectations. Now I dont think there should have been a 3rd one but lets not get carried away here

The first was one was a funny one time watch in the theaters, it was summer, it was nice outside, it had some funny scenes, but months later in November most of that had been drained from the movie, or never had it in the first place, never saw the second, likely won't see the third, maybe on TBS in a few years.

See that's why you can't go making sequels to movies that were accidental big hits. The first one had a very low development budget. The studio didn't think it was going to do numbers. It was a funny movie, and it caught fire. Leave it at that. Part 2 was so forced, then they go make another watered down one. :snoop:

I remember when I heard the hype for the 1st one, I was expecting a comedy that I can watch over and over on par with other white comedies I dig.

Old School
Anchorman
40 Year-Old Virgin
Wedding Crashers (to a lessor extent)

The hype was so big I expected it to be on par with those above. But I barely laughed and I enjoy my fare share of white comedies.

I've seen tons of inferior comedies that I enjoyed a helluva lot more than Part 1.

She's Out of My League
Sex Drive
The Girl Next Door
Zack & Miri Make a Porno
The Breakup
The Dilemma
Zombieland
Youth in Revolt
etc...

The first Hangover was great. Was it a classic? No not really. Its hype sorta epitomized everyone's over exaggerated Vegas stories. You know how everyone that's been to Vegas has a classic story about how amazing the night was, when they're probably stretching the truth. Thats what happened to the Hangover.

That being said I enjoyed the second one, and will catch this one as well. Allen just cracks me up.

i thought the appeal of the first hangover was them retracing their steps trying to remember what happened the previous night...the comedy was standard hollywood shyt...the sequel was too much...the exact same scenario from the first movie but in thailand--:askance::rudy:...i will download watch part 3 when i get the chance...

Typical elitist internet opinion. I don't remember any of this hangover is so overrated when the first dropped.

You know how people are on here :smugbiden:

My only complaint is this dude. I just can't tolerate him being anything more than a bit character. His voice, his lines, everything about him irritates me. shyt was funny the first movie. Got stale as hell in II.

This is very true. The first Hangover was really good (the second one was okay too) but, now that you mention it, movies like Old School, Anchorman, Superbad were way funnier to me. I can't watch Anchorman without being :deadrose: five times throughout the movie. It's just with the Hangover, it caught fire. It was the cool movie to go see. The Hype blogs, Twitter & Facebook were pushing it hard and before you knew it, it was sitting at $500MM at the box office. The movie made 13x its budget.

Hollywood execs: :lupe: :ohhh: :mjpls:
