'Lack of belief' is a cop-out for those of you who have no evidence to substantiate your 'non-belief' and just dikkride others'.

ive addressed the bolded several times

lets assume ths god is real :skip:

1. they follow 3 different sets of rules. 2 of them have to be wrong about this god, and getting into heaven. which means 2/3 are wasting their time/their beliefs mean shyt
2. theyll all get into heaven. which means their rules are really arbitrary and unimportant

i dont see how that can be refuted

as to your first point, the idea that we might be here because of some cosmic tag team is fukkin laughable. so all of these gods are responsible for creation, huh :laff:

btw i know you said ur not religious
In my opinion I would have to say that if god exists, the rules probably don't matter. But that's a moot point

2nd, two or more people can create a software program with multiple simulations of people in it. Why can't the same be said of our world?

You can have gods creating gods ad infinitum too. You can have anything, really. We don't know and everything is possible.

pretty much agree with this. it reverts back to the fact that no one knows who/what god is, but everyone pretends like they do

thats what pisses me off. no one 'knows' how to get into heaven, etc

Do you really believe this to be true my brother? If so, can you point me in the direction of some reputable literature on the matter?

Sure, it's true........
The stereotype of the Middle Ages as "the Dark Ages" fostered by Renaissance humanists and Enlightenment philosophes has, of course, long since been abandoned by scholars. Still, the "consensus" writers on economic development whom Bauer faults have by and large ignored the importance of the Middle Ages for European growth — something that makes as much sense as beginning the explanation of the economic and cultural successes of European Jewry with the eighteenth century. Economic historians, however, following in the footsteps of the great Belgian historian Henri Pirenne (Pirenne 1937), have had a quite different estimation of the medieval period. Carlo M. Cipolla asserts that "the origins of the Industrial Revolution go back to that profound change in ideas, social structures, and value systems that accompanied the rise of the urban communes in the eleventh and thirteenth centuries"

Atheist: How can you trust a white man's religion? *Believes what every white scientist says without questioning*:hamster:

There are many non-White scientists, too, you know? Those claims by the "White scientist" don't have to be taken at face value. Black atheists can attempt to verify, at the very least, the base claims made by the, for whatever reason, misleading White scientist(s). That's not to say that discounting religion because of the "White man" is a logical reason for atheism, just food for thought.

Same source? I'm gonna have to look into that

Nah, most people that use it refer to one specific book, I just can't recall it right now. Give me a bit of time and I'm sure I'll recall it. Basically, the 'Dark Ages' is a pejorative term that is no longer in-use by historians because it's false and based on atheistic bias in comparing the period of time after the fall of Rome to the Renaissance.

its funny hte only religious threads on the coli are created by atheists.

I have the most posts on here :obama:, and ive never created a thread bashing atheists.

napoleon continues to be fatherless

Underrated comment.

Maybe back in the day it could be argued that the religious pushed their agenda, but in my short time here I have yet to see 1 thread about religion made by a religious person all have been made by atheists.

That's why I treat them as children, they seem to be crying for daddy's attention (@Napoleon especially) but it seems we're too focused on the state of our soul and spiritual development to mind their
instigating cries for acknowledgement.

False.

The burden of proof is on the person asserting the claim.

I can't prove a negative, but merely you, and your (unsurprisingly) fallacious theistic arguments have not demonstrated anything to support your argument outside of the bible.

We've been through this. When pressed, you try to selectively read the book. So don't back down when you start to get pinned down like you're about to in the next few posts.

One star for this thread breh. I'm an atheist myself but I can't stand militant condescending atheists that seek to spread atheism and piss on other people's beliefs. :why:
I hate this p*ssy assed retort from people.

Why is it only atheists have to neuter their comments?

Mind you, I started this thread to GIVE people a tool and to point out a flawed argument. If people caught feelings, thats THEIR problem.
