Change is inevitable...
There are bandwith limits instituted by Verizon, spotty coverage from T-Mobile and questionable speeds by Sprint and AT&T. And that's in the NYC metropolitan area. I can't even speak for the rest of the country.
The Cloud is coming, and in some ways it's already here.
BUT that does not mean that we're at the point where SD cards are irrelevant or unnecessary. I have most of my library on Google Music right now but let's be real for a second here. There is a 10,000 song limit AND it only allows you do DL your library a certain number of times. Maybe four or 5 years from now we'll be at the point where we're so connected that we're never without truly high speed data. Samsung is already testing 5G and says it will be here by 2020. But that's down the line dog.
We're NOT there yet. RBK is like a dude back in the early 2000's claiming that Pentiums are dead and that Dual Core is the future. You're essentially trying to be like "FIRST!!!" in an effort to avoid that Last Larry crown, and all the while you're sounding silly.
