Incredible documentary... probably the greatest talent of music ever assembled 1 room.

-Didnt know MJ and Lionel Ritchie wrote the song.
-Prince was suppose to come, but his beef with MJ prevented it.
-Had no idea the song/video was done on 1 night after the American Music Awards in 1985.
-Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Lionel Ritchie and MJ are true musical geniuses.

- After watching this Documentary, it gives you a perspective how Talent-less these rappers of Today are :francis:

His beef with MJ had nothing to do with it. They said in the doc he wanted a guitar solo and didn’t want to be in the same room as everyone else

Also they did Sheila E foul. She was only there cause they thought Prince would come though

And that Waylon Jennings part :mjpls:

Nope. it's been told plenty of times that Prince didnt do We Are The World because of MJ... even Quincy's main engineer Tom Bahler, who arraigned the song said it in 2018.

The invited cacs were shytting themselves...fukkin up the vocals and singing way off key. Huey Lewis specifically.

Stevie had to help him get his confidence to sing his part properly.

Also cracked one of the greatest blind jokes ever.

One thing that stayed with me is how hard pro artists work. All we see/hear is the finished product and them living the pop star life. But they gotta put in mad hours singing the same vocals over and over and over...

All that one take shyt is cool and all but MJ and them did multiple takes and he's the GOAT so...

That was Bob Dylan.

Anyways, I enjoyed this documentary, and it actually makes me sad that there aren't iconic artists today who compare to the ones from this era (and this wasn't even all of them).
