Someone in the fight thread said that he's a panic grappler, he got hurt and immediately tried to take a martial artist to the ground. Shoutout to Dominick Cruz on the ESPN post fight show saying that you can't use the stoppage as an excuse, since it was Conor kicking someone that caused the injury which led to the stoppage. It would be like excusing a loss in boxing because the boxer broke his hand hitting the other boxer.

Fight was pretty even standing until McGregor went for a guillotine, which was stupid of him considering Dustin Is a black belt in BJJ. Once that happened I knew some nasty ground n pound was coming. Ankle break was unfortunate, fight was super exciting

There are no “would’ve, could’ve”… it’s what actually happened.

Conor was just getting beat on the ground by elbows.. that’s literally it. And he wasn’t even hurt. I could understand if he was hurt, but he wasn’t. All that shyt did nothing but get homeboy points in the round

That fight had 4 more rounds to go before that ankle had snapped. You don’t know what tf was going to happen and you never call a fight after one round unless someone is seriously hurt or seriously outclassed, which neither happened.
