Today, the entire government has been taken hostage by leaders elected by this crazed minority, who see in the face of Barack Obama everything they’ve been taught to fear for 50 years. Start with miscegenation: He’s not just black, he’s the product of a black father and a white mother. (That helps explain an unconscious motive for birtherism: They can’t get their minds off the circumstances of his conception and birth.) With his Ivy League degrees, they are sure he must be the elitist beneficiary of affirmative action. Steeped in Chicago politics, he’s the representative of corrupt urban machines controlled by Democrats – machines that ironically originated with the Irish and once kept African-Americans down, but which are now synonymous with corrupt black power. In Michele Bachmann’s words, Obama is a product of Chicago’s scary “gangster government,” or did she say “gangsta”?
Obviously racism got a lot to do with things...but I can't help but thinks republicans would be just as insane if Hillary was president and swagging on the GOP like Obama is. They HATE them both.
I actually (somewhat) agree with the premise of this thread.
Call it the "race card" or whatever you want, but the GOP has been off of white racial resentment since the Civil Rights Era, and not just in the south. It's to Republicans advantage to stoke white racial fears, and they do it about as often as they can get away with. Why do you think seemingly innocuous things like welfare and food stamps infuriate so many white voters? Republicans portray government programs like these as taxing white people and giving the money to lazy black people. So their base sees any kind of government involvement as some sort of attempt to disenfranchise white people and give their money to (lazy and incompetent) blacks. This has been going on for a long time but they REALLY ramped up the rhetoric Obama was elected. Food stamp president, comes form "gangster" Chicago politics, etc.
So the whole thing with the ACA is reflection of the above. Forcing a government shutdown during Obama's presidency is basically a way to intensify racial fears and thus motivate/rally their base.
I wish this stuff wasn't true...I think it's actually a pretty unhealthy state of affairs when a populace is so racially divided along party lines (Repubs getting a large majority of the white vote, Dems getting huge majority of minority vote) but denial helps no one. So yeah, to a large extent it is a race issue. I'm hopeful that this type of race-baiting gets less effective as time goes on tho. It's mostly older, conservative types that go for it.
Actually, republicans don't get a majority of the white vote, or Obama wouldn't be president, nor would dems maintain control of the senate. The reason they occupy the house majority is because of electoral chicanery at the state level. Take away gerrymandering and republicans would be irrelevant in 2013.
well, some of the views and actions of hitler were rooted in American domestic policy.Obviously racism got a lot to do with things...but I can't help but thinks republicans would be just as insane if Hillary was president and swagging on the GOP like Obama is. They HATE them both.
that being said...this is spot on
How do you "compromise" with a baby killing socialist communist fascist racist Muslim? You can't. Which is why GOP congressmen can't even support shyt they like if Obama cosigns it. The voters in their district literally believe he's worse than Hitler, so supporting him=supporting Hitler. It's literally impossible to get anything done due to that.
Don't have to remain that way. If people thought like that, there would be no internet, no GPS, wtc.
but if i were a white person i definitely wouldn't be a democrat.
Yep, just based off of my experience with arguing with whites about government benefits this is easily the biggest "" subject in american politicsWhy do you think seemingly innocuous things like welfare and food stamps infuriate so many white voters? Republicans portray government programs like these as taxing white people and giving the money to lazy black people.
So you think strictly electing Democrats will fix things?
No it comes from the ground up.
I think the republicans are riding on the unpopularity of Obamacare. Obamacare's support peaked in September of 2009 at 51%, it's been dropping ever since. Today, only 40% of Americans support it, 51.5% of Americans oppose Obamacare.rethugs dont want it to work because itll make them look like fools. on the other hand, dems are sittin back like during the shutdown and wathcin america turn against the rethugs
so fukk both of em
This right here.both democrats and rethugs play ppl against each other to get their agendas through.. then accuse the other ones of being racist. white democrats especially are always punked that way to vote democrat. with me fuq both parties. but if i were a white person i definitely wouldn't be a democrat.
No. At some point, most Americans will get tired of inflation and excessive taxation. Historically, this has helped the Republican party (Nixon: 2 terms, Reagan: 2 terms, Bush: 2 terms)Either way, the Republican party is facing its end. This won't be forgotten for decades to come. They are going to go to Whig Party status very soon.
She'll definitely be a "food stamp" president. She was on the board for Walmart and an attorney for Monsanto. She knows who her daddy is, she will keep them subsidies coming. Replace Muslim with feminazi, the GOP will find a way to demonize (e.g.: slut shame) her feminist views. There's no doubt they hate Hillary too, but if she was president she wouldn't be accused of being
1. Muslim
2. The "Food Stamp" President
It's a major element of this whole situation but isn't the sole reason for all of this.
