its really amazing how the effects still hold up today
This and Jurassic park hold up so well visually. It's really remarkable.

Everything holds up except the red headed salute your shorts kids awful 90s hair
Mullets :hhh:. If you're growing any of it out, grow it all out. Not a single look that ages worse, including the perms and Jheri curls of he 80's that the women and hair metal bands had :russ:

A lot of 80 effects hold up because they wasn't trash ass CGI:hhh:

In the future a lot of current movies are gonna be so unwatchable because of shytty CGI

Look at how bad the cgi for the 1999 and 2001 mummy movies aged. Look at no bad the green screen for the Star Wars prequel films aged.

Yeah many older movies have ages bad, especially those star wars prequels. Practical effects held up better, was watching the thing last night, still looks great for an early 80s horror flick.

This. There are surprisingly few cgi shots in T2 and Jurassic Park. Most of it was practical. Saw a video on youtube the other day and it was something crazy like 14 (or was it 40?) cgi shots in T2

But it's not generic CGI

Kinda hard to explain , basically they didn't rely on it heavy
