Yeah many older movies have ages bad, especially those star wars prequels. Practical effects held up better, was watching the thing last night, still looks great for an early 80s horror flick.
This. There are surprisingly few cgi shots in T2 and Jurassic Park. Most of it was practical. Saw a video on youtube the other day and it was something crazy like 14 (or was it 40?) cgi shots in T2A lot of 80 effects hold up because they wasn't trash ass CGI
