Nah LA your best bet unless you tryna pull up to a hood court. They used to always be at that court in the West End and the one by Fulton Ind and Bankhead. Just have it on you.:manny:

At LA you can find more hoopers that can plug you to different spots. I know its courts in Marietta and out towards Gwinnet.

Shiiiit I think you talkin bout English Park (or Maddox, further down Bankhead) I live over there and pass by it all the time. I aint tryna play outdoors with knuckleheads lmao

This is one of the least hoop-friendly cities you'll find. There are three outdoor courts I know of offhand: Piedmont Park, Lynwood Park up in Brookhaven and the new(ish) Rodney Cook Park in Vine City. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting, it's been a good while. Most people serious about it ball at their gym.

That's pretty much by design. Even the most hood apartment complexes here will have tennis courts but none for hoops. They know knuckleheads don't play tennis. :francis:

Trust me I know. When I first moved backed to the A from college bout 10 yrs ago I had an LA Fitness membership, but every once in a while I would get some decent run at a random church or private gym.

I bounced around the country for 4-5 yrs and always had free places to play because of my job but now that I'm back here it's tough.

There's also this, but it's not always conducive with my schedule

i see hella people at collins hill park when i'm up there. it's kinda far out though (lawrenceville). and I see them from a distance so they may be teenagers

:skip:
That aint worth it for me lol

Probably like the 5th time I've asked in the thread but I'll ask again anyways :yeshrug:

Any of yall hoop around the city? I'm just tryna get some decent pickup run once or twice a week without gettin a LA Fitness membership lol

I do. I mainly play in Clayton and Fayette counties though.

if anyone can’t find pickup games in the city then they aren’t looking or are scared. Just search for parks near you and pull up to one.

plenty of adult leagues as well at rec centers. College Park and Forest Park has some good leagues

were you born here? I don’t believe that statement about Atlanta being a “non hoop city” is true at all bruh.

run and shoot used to stay packed and had pros there every day.

Central Park near Boulevard has some good runs

every park I ride past on my side of town has multiple games going on, even the ones in country ass Tyrone.

there is always someone hooping..especially since the Hawks went and renovated most of the ones in the city

Just...don't. It's of course comparative to other US cities with more of a bball culture. Mans asked "around the city". I could have named spots out in the sticks like @bourgeoisie tall freak otherwise.:pachaha:
