Y’all, I toured one apartment in Buckhead and it was janky as fukk:picard:

Literally walked 2 streets down and toured another place, and it was BEAUTIFUL. And 2 times bigger. And both places were the same price.

NY vibes, because that’s exactly how shyt be in NY:mjlol:

Ya girl is in ATL:blessed:Touched down yesterday.

Haven’t run into any crazy ATL traffic that everyone talks about.

Ate at Louisiana Bistreaux so far. It was ok. Crab cakes were on point tho.

Spent majority of today touring apartments. Stopped to eat and about to do one more tour. Then head back to the bnb to rest and find something to get into later.

What’s going on in these ATL streets this week?

Welcome :salute:

What part of town you in and what you tryna get into?

We’re by Morehouse in the hood:mjlol:But the condo we’re in is nice as hell. And we’re :flabbynsick:so not too much turn up. Just to see what the nightlife is like a little bit for the 30+ crowd.

Yea Morehouse and the AUC is in the hood. You gonna have to head back to West Midtwon/Midtown/Buckhead to find signs of night life

You could also hit Castleberry Hills and Peters St which isn’t far from the AUC and see what’s open tonight but that’s a good spot on the edge of downtown where night life is happening at

Rodney Scott's Whole Hog BBQ is set to open in April in Adair Park

Rodney Scott smoked his first hog when he was 11 years old. His family owned a convenience store in Hemingway, South Carolina, and on Thursdays, his father would cook whole hogs over hardwood coals. Years later, James Beard Award-winning Scott still cooks that way—at his restaurants in Charleston, Birmingham, and come April, Atlanta. Rodney Scott’s BBQ will open in the historic MET development in Adair Park (680 Murphy Avenue Southwest), alongside a coffee and cocktail bar and the Mammal Gallery.

I've been enjoying my time here. Toured a lot of apartments. Some were :picard: Cant trust the pictures on the websites. I saw a big ass dead roach at one of the "luxury" apartments, and almost fell out. I told the agent, and that man really just picked it up with his hand and flushed it. I was like :dwillhuh: That apt was dub just from that shyt alone.

But most were bomb. Narrowed down my top 2 choices, and putting in applications before we leave tomorrow.

I like the vibe of ATL. I like that it takes 15-20 min to get anywhere. We didn't experience the traffic everyone talks about, and we were out at all times of the day. I'll most likely end up on the outskirts. I like the quiet, and the apts are much more spacious. And of course, thats where the nature is.

And I'm sure I gained 20 pounds with all the food we ate:flabbynsick:

Glad you had a good time

Like @dj-method-x said traffic the last year has been nowhere near as bad as it usually is

What part of town are you thinking about living in?

My favorite apt was in Buckhead. The most expensive but still in my budget. The runner up was in a area called Gresham Park? And then I like the southwest Atlanta area. I like the quiet but still close to the city.

A couple more restaurants for y’all to try out, both in West Midtown :gladbron:

Miller Union: Arguably the new GOAT in the city. Upscale take on traditional southern food. Literally across the street from Compound

Bocado: Similar swag to Miller Union, on Marietta St near Brady Ave.

Both are super dope, date night spots. Valentines Day is less than a month away brehs start securing your reservations now
