Yo i just want to vent about some of the bullshyt they're playing in Miami...
the protests have had an overwhelmingly peaceful vibe (I'm not even advocating the peaceful route, just stating the facts of what it is here). yet the cops and the media have still been playing that bullshyt.
the extent of the craziness here has been:
1 cop car burned, in front of the police station, not a residential or business area.
a few shops looted in Bayside, a very touristy mall set off by itself near the bay, the arena, etc.
a brick thrown through a CVS window.
that's all.
Some pics I took Sunday, the only day I brought my camera:
That last pic is that CVS. What's cool though, is that local media has actually kept it positive in their coverage:
Watch as Miami protesters protect a CVS when people try to break in
yet, somehow, the cops managed to tear gas and rubber bullet the shyt out of crowds, and arrest over 100 people over the weekend, including a journalist walking to his car, and a dude who lived in the high rise above the CVS who came down to let his friends in and they all got picked up.
Trump even announced he was sending riot squads to two cities: Washington, DC and...Miami. Why Miami? Nobody knows. City officials said they didn't need them and nobody knows where they actually went.
The police chief put out a statement that only 13 of the 57 people arrested on the first night were from Miami, echoing that bullshyt conservative line about people being sent in everywhere to agitate from somewhere else.
This would be disingenuous anywhere, but especially in Miami, which has a unique layout. The city of Miami itself is tiny, and the area is a patchwork of cities. Miami Beach, for example, is its own city.
It would be like the NYC police commissioner saying that nobody arrested actually lived in Union Square, so they were all outside agents.
The Miami Herald immediately called them on this bullshyt, and found that only 7 of the 57 had known addresses out of state

Yet here we are, this morning, days later, on Fox News,
Miami police chief says out-of-town looters ruining peaceful protests: 'Some people just want to create chaos' the same motherfukking police chief, saying the same shyt on national television.
And to ice the cake, all is after the Mayor promised cops would not show up in riot gear, only to have them show up within hours suited and booted, with actual tanks.
None of this surprises me, but as long as we calling all the bullshyt out...
