Jermaine Dupri’s birthday party last September. During the after-party at a club called Platinum House, Suge Knight’s close friend Jake Robles was shot. He died at the hospital a week later. Published reports said that some witnesses claimed a member of Puffy’s entourage was responsible.
At the mention of the incident, Puffy sucks his teeth in frustration. “Here’s what happened,” he says. “I went to Atlanta with my son. At that time, there wasn’t really no drama. I didn’t even have bodyguards, so that’s a lie that I did. I left the club, and I’m waiting for my limo, talking to girls. I don’t see [Suge] go into the club; we don’t make any contact or nothing like that. He gets into a beef in the club with some nikkas. I knew the majority of the club, but I don’t know who he got into the beef with, what it was over, or nothing like that. All I heard is that he took beef at the bar. I see people coming out. I see a lot of people that I know, I see him, and I see everybody yelling and screaming and shyt. I get out the limo and I go to him like, ‘What’s up, you all right?’ I’m trying to see if I can help him. That’s my muthafukkin’ problem, Puffy says, pounding his fist into his palm in frustration. “I’m always trying to see if I can help somebody.
“Anyways, I get out facing him, and I’m like, ‘What’s going on, what’s he problem?’ Then I hear shtos ringing out, and we turn around and someone’s standing right behind me. His man—God bless the dead—gets shot, and he’s on the floor. My back was turned; I could’ve got shot, and he could’ve got shot. But right then he was, like, ‘I think you had something to do with this.’ I’m, like, ‘What are you talking about? I was standing right here with you!’ I really felt sorry for him, the the sense that if he felt that way, he was showing me his insecurity.”

LOL @ that account of the story, and the one being told. Not sure what's true, but the idea that Puff and his team, which is like Wolf and two other known killers, executed Suge's homie is not far from what has happened in other incidents with Puff involved. And given what the last 20 years have shown or last 30, Puff's rather dramatic performance here suggests the whole protest too much adage.

So Death Rows east coast west coast beef with Bad Boy was prior to 2pacs winter 1995 signing and realese from jailI mean why would Suge and Death Row come into this party in choking out Puffy and slapping Jermaine... I was told 2pac Shakur started the beef and friction with Bad Boy Records

The killing was witnessed by Chris Howard, an off-duty Fulton County deputy sheriff who was working security at the Platinum. In his statement to police that night, Howard said the shooting stemmed from an argument during the party involving individuals associated with Death Row and Bad Boy, including Knight and Combs. At one point, the verbal dispute apparently got so heated that Howard had to step in and break it up.
Following a second flare-up involving Robles and Jones, Howard said, he told Combs and Knight and their associates to leave the club. To avoid a clash, Howard said, he asked Knight to wait inside the club while he escorted Combs and his crew out of the building. Checking the entrance to the club to make sure that Combs and his associates had left, Howard then turned to Knight and Robles.
“I told Suge, ‘OK, coast is clear,’ and we walked outside and he got into the limo,” Howard told The Times in an interview. “His partner was just about ready to get into the limo when all of a sudden Puffy’s guys came from around the corner . . . and one of them had a gun.
“I chased the guy with the gun around the corner,” Howard said. “He handed the gun off to another guy. It was a .45. By the time I got back out front, that’s when the guy took a shot at Suge’s partner. He shot him two or three times.”
Howard said he had drawn his weapon but couldn’t fire because a crowd had gathered outside the club. He said he saw the shooter jump into a car carrying Combs’ associates.
“It’s like this: I was standing three feet from the shooter and I got a real good look at him,” Howard said. “The one who did the shooting was the ringleader of the group who was there with Puffy. If someone showed me his photo right now, I could still recognize him. No question.”

So Suge had to sacrafice his friend Jake by getting him killed that night by a bad boy entourage member because Suge was commanded to do so by his boss 2pac from jail
What did this person in the video mean when he said Suge was shaking puffy and yelling about Mary J Blige n Jodeci publishing. Was 2pac their boss too

People put it on wolf cause wolf was the big name of the valley mob since he roll with puff, so it was obvious to blame the bigger name even though the little dudes in the crew killed jake..
So Suge's preexisting issues with Puffy over business disputes is what led to the shooting in Atlanta of Suge's best friend Jake and thus the ensuing east coast west coast feud

A girl who had a history with Suges people, but was with one of Puffs guys in ATL. Words got exchanged, someone waited in the parking lot... Stories always been the same.

No. Did you watch the video? They didn’t say anything about a girl. They said Suge just walked in slapped Jermaine Dupri and yoked Puff up about Mary J and Jodeci’s publishing.
