halfway thru and the one thing confirmed is rappers can’t pay security to die for them :yeshrug:

ppl always talk about rappers need to get “real” security but all they would mostly be paying for is for guys to stand around looking “officially” tough…when push comes to shove they are NOT dying for these rappers and understandably so

it’s their die-hards that are gonna go all out for them for better or worse

Those who are thinking the east/west tensions start here are missing some of the nuances of that period of time. Most rap media and publication powerhouses were located in NY at the time so naturally there was a lot of biases/favoritism showed towards artists from NY. To add to that the genre is still young at this time so those labels/publications looked at NY as the true originators and pure hip hop artists while these other regions were interesting offshoots. For example, Cube didn't get his full respect til he dropped his first solo album with mostly east coast Bomb Squad production etc. This type of thing had west coast artists feeling a type of way because they really started moving major units at this point and were really driving the culture much like the South did for years and years recently.

While it was a extremely interesting story it was kinda odd listening to them cracking jokes while telling a story about a man losing his life

…and as old men….still giggling/reveling in the moment.

The shooter/killer name was Jason, and he did not work for puff.
He’s from the Valley a section of the North Bronx & was down with the street crew Valley Mob which Wolf was a main figure in

So once again, this story is about lames nikkaz, trying to connect the dots to puff
That’s my neck of the woods

Valley mob and Boston road beef in the 90s smh

This poster knows his shyt

Bro... Hell no.

Most of these artist had great relationships.

NY and Cali are huge markets so these artist had to be heavy in both places.
This is how they formed relationships.
Again, Puff and suge were cool. I'll even say friends.

Pac and big were definitely friends.

Any "beef" that was perceived came later once puff and suge started their bullshyt.
And like I said, everyone became a pawn.
All the other rappers and fans included
Nah I disagree. The Cali dudes Vs NYC dudes rivalry was always there , and again, the music just amplified it

It was a lot of dissing going on back and forth back then before the Pac N Biggie deaths took place

listen, it just doesn’t make sense for me to go back-and-forth with y’all who are most likely not of age and are not from New York to speak on the street legend of wolf and his résumé … and for the last time, if you think suge put hands on puff in front of wolf, you have to be pretty stupid, because that would’ve tarnished wolf name in the streets
Well then that ngga named tarnished :beli: Suge slapped the fukk outta Puff what is you talking bout

And for the record, suge was not a street nikka he went to college, played football for UNLV, got drafted. After being cut by the Los Angeles Rams became a bodyguard, and finagled his way into the music industry by hiring MOB Piru, bloods from his Compton neighborhood.

If this is what you consider OG knowledge now I know you ain’t an OG. Ngga EVERYBODY knows this. That don’t mean Suge wasn’t picking n choosing who he got buck with. Mob James already told us Suge would punk nggas he wanted to, but backed down from other nggas (ie outside of a club with an NFL player Suge turned down the fade and expected the mob to fight for him). You havin a hard time grasping that everybody, isn’t everything, every time.

And btw i ignored the ‘yall not of age’ the first time. Ngga I’m 40. You MY son :heh: Get off Wolf dikk you sounding crazy in here

Nah. It really was some East Vs West ish going on back then

Cali Vs New York had always been a thing and the music amplified it. It wasn't just bad boy Vs Death Row going back and forth. It was plenty of other acts.. those 2 camps just got essentially all the promo bc they had the 2 biggest artists and eventually the 2 deaths but the Old Headz know

If anyone read the Hip Hop cop book back in the day, u know Wolfe wasn't the shooter and u knew the name of the shooter as well. It was all n there

Nah I disagree. The Cali dudes Vs NYC dudes rivalry was always there , and again, the music just amplified it

It was a lot of dissing going on back and forth back then before the Pac N Biggie deaths took place
You still have the audacity to speak on Bad Boy/Death Row business fraud ass nikka

:snoop: No it doesn’t make sense for nikkas to go back and forth with you when you been a Bad Boy dikkrider since SOHH. Wolf must be your daddy or something

And @Whogivesafukk is from the same hood as Suge and can vouch for him. And I know nikkas from there who’ll vouch for Suge. Yeah Suge went to college played football and all that that’s common fukking knowledge nikka. Talking about for the record but he was still from the Mob

your right about him always being this so-called bully
But I’m not sure about him, being in & out of jail/prison before he got into the music industry

1987

In October 1987, Knight is arrested and charged with domestic violence for assaulting his girlfriend and chopping off her ponytail on the street.

On Halloween, Knight is arrested for allegedly stealing a vehicle while carrying a concealed weapon. He's also charged with attempted murder after firing at the driver three times during the auto theft. He pleads guilty to a misdemeanor charge and is placed on probation for two years.

Nah this is a case of Suge being out of his element.

A real street nikka doesnt just walk up in a party and start shaking nikkas down, thats some goofy music industry shyt. nikkas have more self awareness of their enviroment

Suge and his mans got hit because they thought it was just some music industry shyt and that real nikkas was not in attendance.

Suge could of got clipped of what he did to JD alone. What kinda of idiot goes to a city and smacks up their cities most promiment artist and celebrity at the time.

He's lucky JD aint on Puff time cause if he moved like Diddy Suge would of gotten popped that night too. Smacking nikkas for no reason just on some bully shyt is how nikkas get blasted in the hood all the time. That is literally what happened here. Suge's mans went for the shortest guy thinking it was gonna be a sweet not knowing that he just sealed his fate with the goofy shyt.

Didn't Suge try to do this with Luke and those Florida boys back in the day?
Something happened at the Jack the Rabbit summit, I think
