The name dropping doesn't really bother me. Game has to be aware of how much he does it. He's not the first rapper to do it, either. Several of them have made multiple references to other rappers or sports or television. It's almost in a rapper's DNA to reference pop culture somehow.
It's just funny whenever he does it because of the way he incorporates it. Like on "Letter to the King" when he referenced Rihanna. You can tell he was trying to force it in there when he didn't need to.
