Side note, it's :mjlol:how hypocritical this board is.

Drake disses Budden....Budden responds. "Oh, Budden is just trying to sell records"....despite not even having a release date ready at the time.

Game disses Meek on IG with a link to buy his new album. "Meek needs to respond, he should have 5 diss records ready".

Why don't you all give Meek the same pass Drake got? It's just someone seeking attention, right?:jbhmm:

Fred.

All truths...

Though Meek Mill did have disses ready because he got caught recycling verses.

Bro, rap and sports are often times rated by eras and age group. My pops or grand father have Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robinson, Dr J, Magic or Bill Russell as the greatest players of all time. But somebody 20 years old doesn't have them in their top 10 players because they weren't alive to see them play. They have Lebron, Kobe, CP3, or maybe Jordan.

You can't tell a person that never seen Johnny Unitas play football that he's better than Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers

The difference is your father or grand father have seen the full spectrum of sports talent to say who would be top 20. Their opinion would hold more weight than a 20 year old.

Go into The Film Room right now, list your top 10 movies, and admit you got into movies around 2000. You're gonna get laughed out of that forum. Imagine someone saying...."The Blair Witch" had the same impact as "Alien". Because it did for them. While they're entitled to their opinion, someone that is old enough to remember both movies would laugh at them.

shyt doesn't even make any sense breh. What you're saying is not how the world operates. People don't get passes based on having limited knowledge of a subject. Top 20 means top 20. If you want to say "for this era", do that. But if you need to use modifiers for something like "top 20", or "all-time"....don't even use those terms to begin with.

You're being extremely closed minded. People different ages have different top 10's or top 20s. Nobody's list holds more weight than the next persons. Limited knowledge has nothing to do what their top 10 mc's is.

Your aliens/Blair Witch comparison falls short because some people rate Blair Which higher than Aliens because Blair which was a movie that impacted them more as a kid.

You can't tell me that Kurtis Blow, Run Dmc,grandmaster Caz are better than Jeezy, Ludacris, Gucci or Wayne because I wasn't around for those artist in the early 80s.

We aren't even talking about the same thing any more.

If you like Gucci Mane more than Slick Rick :manny: but if you're making a top 20 rapper list....not "for your era"....just "top 20"....then you need to have knowledge of the subject outside of your era. Otherwise it becomes "my era", "this decade", "this generation", which is completely meaningless. "This Game diss is a top 20 track for this era, out of the last 5 years". You might as well just say "I like this song a lot".

And the people who rate "Blair Witch" higher would not be taken seriously. Again, go to The Film Room and test that out. Go to The Coliseum and rate QBs after admitting you got into football around 2006. Go into The Arcadium and list your top 10 video games after admitting that a PS3 was your first console. Nobody is going to care about "your era", or what impacted your childhood.

game got beef wit YG?

the diss is just alright.

rappers need to get away from the trend of rapping over the same beats in these battles. game sounded remedial as hell over this beat. lol. you'd think a one-flow pony like game would know how to pick his beats by now.

Nobody really cares what The Arcadiun or Film Room thinks man.

And in my top 10 list of MCs, you can't tell me they my list is wrong if I have Gucci instead of slick rick.

Again, you're being closed minded
