I think What happened to Game is what was kinda about to happen with Snoop. If Snoop doesn't sign with No Limit in 98 and get back to popping his career probably has the same trajectory.

Both had good to excellent 4th albums
But by this time Snoop was reunited with Dre and was all over 2001 which then reignited Snoop's status in the game and he dropped some very good and well recieved albums from 2000-08 all physically platinum albums.

When Game gets to album number 4 he's still a name in the game and still affiliated with interscope records but he never gets the roll out he had for his 1st 2 projects. But he still makes some good azz albums. But all the sucka shyt was constantly following him around and every album does worse and worse. Even though they are good albums. He never endeared himself to the culture because he's always caught up in some shyt. And why the Fukk did he choose Wack 100 to be his manager??? He's been nothing but a "net-negative" for Game's career.
