The idea is that these are collectors items, not some shyt you go out an hoop in....I never hear nikkas complaining about people camping outside of stores to buy a 1000 dollar collectors shoe from Nike...and most of em are just regular ass shoes that are marketed as special.
Then it's all on the kid, if he an All-Star it will probably take off
And if he get into the right system with the right coach who allows him to play his brand of basketball

Its already "legendary" in the sense that it's the first of it's kind...I mean he could be a bust and these would still be collectors items. nikkas in here talmbout exploiting black people when this is clearly being marketed to the same hypebeasts that go and pay 8 or 900 bucks just to have some shoes to look at/sit on a shelf.

If I was LaVar...once Melo starts getting attention have him drop a shoe too with a more standard price, til he hits the pros. Don't be surprised if you see him go that route.

:sas2:

I'm not seeing it. If i'm not paying for the brand, if i'm not paying for the quality. Then what am I paying for?

he right about jordan not doing shyt for the black community :manny:

he's wrong and a lot of people are wrong about what mj has done and continues to do for the black community and less fortunate.

-established a foundation in his pops name James R. Jordan Foundation which provides scholarships to underprivileged kids and arranges trips to africa.
-he hosts a annual celebrity golf tournament which has raises millions for charities including make a wish.
-employs more blacks in executive positions with the bobcats than any other franchise in history.
-has a charity arm of the bobcats for boys and girls club in his hometown.

...and many more that i won't even go into.

i own pairs of jordans, just like i own pairs of dress shoes, casual shoes, addidas, reeboks, chucks, asics, etc. it's not about brand loyalty or being an mj dikkryder. it's about facts and people like the game falsely slandering a huge philanthropist to the black community because he's an easy target.

dude can support the ball family without all the other bullshyt. hope lonzo becomes a great player, but i have low expectations for them to give back to the black community the way mj has. :manny:

Attention=Platform=Potential Revenue

Your favorite rappers are like the nikka in the street who play music or the man doing magic on the street hoping mfs pay attention then put money in the hat. The modern industry in a nutshell.
