Hogwarts is a slightly above average open-world game. There are a billion of them. That's the most likely reason it didn't get nominated.
According to you.

I think hogwarts legacy was far above average when it comes to open world games. The combat was great, story was decent, the world was ripped straight out of the books with far more effort and detail put into building it than the vast majority of open world games.

I haven't played any of the nominated games for game of the year.

I'll vote for Alan Wake 2 to win

According to most of the people who vote for the TGA nominees, too. Glad you liked it, but that shyt is boilerplate to me.

Its good for the first 10-15 hours but it just wears out its welcome early. I beat the final boss and I think you gotta do some extra shyt after that to see the end credits and I just couldn’t be bothered

Wasn't the games voted on by reviewers? The same reviewers that wrote the entire hogwarts legacy review complaining about JK Rowling's political opinions?

I'm supposed to take their word that it shouldn't be nominated for a single category? Despite being one of the most successful games this year?

So reviewers have a vendetta against Xbox and Hogwarts Legacy now.

THIS MUST STOP!

Successful in sales =/= one of the six best games of the year. Popularity has no causative relationship with quality.

Very few people are hyping Hogwarts like that. Like I said, glad you like it, but the Armored Core 6 fans have more of a gripe than Hogwarts fans. AC6 had more sustained post-release hype than Hogwarts in general, nevermind the critics.
