The team damn near refused to give him help on offense. So much so that the brotha went out and recruited for help (tried to recruit free agent WRs)

That wr core was WOAT at times

Imagine his numbers if he ever had a top notch WR for more than 2 years.

He was a winner stuck with a stale coach who couldn't adjust and ownership that thought you could win chips arena football players.

Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, James Thrash, were his primary receivers during his prime.

Don't forget Charles Johnson and Torrance Small at WR.....yuck

Deitrich Jells :scusthov:

:mjlol:. Fat Andy had him out there throwing 35 times a game with Kevin Curtis as the top WR.

That had to he the worst eagles recieving core since they started in the 30s or 40s

If he could've played with a player on the caliber of TO for his entire career he would've won a ring.

Didn't even have to be that good...just competent receivers and competent coaching. The Eagles really didn't value WR and it seems like they really couldn't identify talent at the position until recently. They drafted Freddy Mitchell over Chad, Steve Smith, and Reggie Wayne :dead:.

Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell as your WR core :scust:

And dreadful WRs like

Todd Pinkston & Charles Johnson

Don't get me started

can only imagine what his career would've been if he could have played with Reggie Wayne

:francis:

instead they gave my Nikka Reggie Brown
:snoop:

All of the "offensive genius" head coaches (Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Sean Payton, etc.) operate the same in surrounding their talented QB with less-talented wide receivers that are assigned one job to do in "the system" and run a RB-by-committee. Each are so convinced that ANY player could be plugged into their system (regardless of their talent level), and it would be successful. :francis:

And speaking as a Saints fan, I am all too familiar with this offensive operation (Brandon Coleman :scusthov::trash:).

You can blame :beli: and Brady for these teams running these schemes.

Can anyone explain why he was so trash once he left the bosom of fat ass Andy Reid ?
I wanna know why he went from "elite" to Having more INTs than TDs and only lasting one year in dc
Then getting benched and :camby:his one year in minny.

I see a lot of ppl in here talking about receivers. Do y'all nikkas watch football or just skim thru it. Certain systems that rely on short passes and TE sets don't need elite receivers. See NE. Andy Reid runs a version of the west coast offense that relied heavily on TEs, passes out the backfield (they ran a TON of screens in philly with westbrook) and short dink and dunk reads underneath. Nevermind the fact the NFC east was absolute trash when they had those receivers which meant the Eagles basically had 4-5 division wins locked up every year. Soon as the nfc east got better when the Giants won that first chip it was :camby:for the eagles save for the one year they lost to the cardinals in ANOTHER nfc chip game Mcnabb was favored in and took a L

-signed Eagles fan that watched every game of Mcnabb (Eagles) career save for the one in 2008 against the Ravens he was benched in (was in Costa Rica that week and didn't have dvr then )

Nah you can't blame Beli. He switches his gameplan up based on his personnel. I don't think you can compare anyone to Andy in this regard. Not only was he determined to throw the ball all over the field with Donovan and subpar receiver but he would also turn into Mr. Conservative and run a super balanced offense whenever Donovan was hurt.

What I meant by the bolded is that :beli: managed to win those early championships with the likes of David Patten and Givens as Brady's wide receivers. So, these "offensive genius" head coaches figured that they too could do the same with "system wide receivers". So far, it hasn't worked for Andy and Chip (it worked for us in 2009, though :blessed:).

You are correct in the statement that :beli: switches up his gameplan based on his personnel, unlike the others, which is why he has managed to sustain success.

The comparisons are that each of the "offensive genius" head coaches go about acquiring offensive "talent" in a similar way to :beli:, focusing more so on plug-and-play players to fit the system rather than true, legit talent.
