I think he understood at that point that if he did anything he'd just make things worse just like everything else has for this entire season. Like if he hid the body, Devoe would have his wife tell the cops where the body is or he would send an anonymous tip. If he hid the weapon then Devoe would just plant another one and so on. That's why it was smarter to just let it play out as it is because at least you're turning yourself in and not trying to hide.
