Yeah but still, Just too far past due. Especially since Sidney, Dewey, and Gail all survived part 4.

What could they possible do now? Finally make Sidney the killer. Ehhh im cool on that.

I do agree that at least one of the “Big 3” should’ve died in Scream 4. I would imagine that changes in 5...especially if they did something crazy like kill Sidney in the opening act

Great movie. 2nd one is good too. I seem to remember 3 being trash and Scream 4 being good.
Yeah Scream 3 was stupid. They also rewrote it to be goofier after Colombine.

But that whole plot with the voice imitation software was so contrived. We don't even have that technology now 20 years later :heh:. Plus all the trash retcons.

Don't forget Sidney calling the cops via her computer on dialup internet in its infancy in the first one :dead:

This shyt could've actually been nominated for an oscar for screenplay or Best Supporting(Lilard). This was really well done, it cleverly subverted a lot of people's expectations

Rewatching again, this movie written and filmed so well and it makes the rewatches fun since you can use the info you know from seeing before and catch new things.

I'm just now noticing that when Stu fakes stabbed billy, his hands were near his chest and the camera never shows the blade penetrate, something it almost always does. Very clever filiming.

It's evenly rated IMO. Surprisingly Jamie Kennedy gives the best performance as the horror movie nerd...what a disappointment that guy's career turned out to be. :mjlol:

Yeah seriously lol. One of the highest grossing horror movies of the 90s, the movie that is credited with bringing horror back is underrated :russ:

Yet, when you hear about the best movies from the decade, how often does it get mentioned? Underpraised is the word that should be used. It's the "oh yeah, I forgot about Scream" movie. I know this is just a small sample, but it barely gets mentioned here. But it stayed between a 7-7.5 on IMDB, when that was THE movie site. And it's also not pushed as much a other classic/great movies, or even cult classics.

oh I disagree. ive read plenty of best of the 90s or best of 90s horror and its mentioned.

This site is this site so whatever lol

Maybe it's cause I love horror and I read those circles but scream is never ever underpraised. like I said, maybe here, but that's here

Edit: also, not for nothing, but a movie that makes over 100 million, spawns three sequels, and has another one coming out, can't be considered "cult"
