It's been obvious for awhile Braun is the one they should've run with this year. Those first two matches with Brock should've never happened. Should've kept these dudes apart until WM. That would've been a huge match. Braun has lost a lot of luster since losing to Brock pretty easily that first time.

I've been saying that all year. No reason to put him (as the hottest young guy in the company) with Brock twice if he wasn't going to either win OR set up for a WM match.

They're in a bad place because right now Braun is bigger than a midcard feud.

They could have hedged their bets by putting Braun in the title match in the first place and making it a 1 on 1 with Brock or making it a triple threat with him and Roman. The latter would have given them the ability to wait until the very last minute to see what way they wanted to go. Now they're stuck with a flat main event with no heat. If this is true any audible is going to look like they're grasping for straws.

I actually wouldn't mind them pulling the ultimate swerve and letting Roman sit this one out though. . Let Braun fukk him up and Deebo his way into the title match Then Roman's case can play out while Braun cooks during the summer. Let Roman come back and get a run at Summerslam or something.
