The Film Room's Top TV Show of the Decade (Nominations end 12/31)

I honestly feel that I can't name 10 shows that I consider great enough to be considered top 10, so I will put my trust in others to make sure The Knick is included. Greatest first season of any tv-series in all of history.

We've been living through the greatest era of TV, and you can't name 10 shows?! I'm struggling to narrow it down to just 10.

The 4 that really stood out to me:


Homeland, Masters of Sex, Badlands and Fargo.

Not sure if those 1st 2 have much replay value, but Ive watched Badlands and Fargo more than twice already.

I think it is hard to name 10 QUALITY shows from this decade. The only order is for the first 2 shows

To be top 10 you can't be faulty in my opinion. Biggest problem with tv is consistency which few shows maintain. Are there 10 shows I could rank as my favorites? Of course, but only few would I actually distinguish as excellent television. I'm not putting anything in a top 10 list that has had a notable drop-off, regardless if the show managed to recover or not. I'm not putting anything in a top 10 list that didn't stick the landing, even if 'the journey was great'. All that shyt is compromise and compromise is for the weak.

Anyone not having GOT in there top 5 or leaving it completely off is crazy. Even if the last season or 2 were bad, the first 6 season shyt on every show except maybe wire and sopranos

Homeland may have had the greatest 1st season. But then it fell off so hard it didn't even cross my mind. Showtime gonna showtime.

1st season was GOLD. 2nd season was dope too. But yeah, it's been on a decline since then.

How dope it would have been if he would have let that bomb explode in the bunker and the show moved on from there with other sleeper agents...
