Behind You
1. I Love Lucy (pretty much perfected the TV sitcom)
2. Hill Street Blues (begot every high concept well written drama)
3. All In The Family (changed the sitcom game)
4. Star Trek (most influential Sci-Fi show in TV history)
5. The Cosby Show (saved NBC and showed that a show about black people could be a ratings juggernaut)
6. Survivor (started the reality show renaissance)
7. The Simpsons (most influential animated prime-time show of all time)
8. Oz (without the success of Oz there would have been no Sopranos or any other drama series on HBO or any other pay cable channel)
9. Seinfeld (changed the sitcom game again)
10. The Shield (got the ball rolling for the commercial cable channels to start making edgy, envelope pushing television)

I've agonized over this shyt long enough and I'm home with a fever so let's go:

1. The Simpsons (no single show has influenced my life more and I'd argue the first 8 or 9 seasons are the best tv ever produced)
2. The Wire (there's probably not much that needs to be said about it at this point that hasn't been said)
3. Arrested Development (one of the best written shows ever, comedy or drama)
4. Mystery Science Theater 3000 (probably the funniest show ever on television)
5. Seinfeld (best example of character development in a sitcom ever)
6. Twilight Zone (again, better things than I can think of have already been said. Changed the face of television and showed just how thoughtful TV can be)
7. Mad Men (fukkin awesome television from start to finish)
8. Star Trek the Next Generation (great show, great characters, and great morality plays)
9. Batman the animated series (powerful tv, point blank period)
10. Spectacular spider-man (definitely an out of the box pick but it's perfect. There's not a missed step, not a missed characterization, and is the perfect adaptation of spider-man in any medium outside of the comics. No film has reached its heights and it's so layered)

Current:

1. Hannibal
2. Mad Men
3. Justified
4. Better Call Saul
5. Archer

Still haven't really got deep into it yet and I can't just put it on the list just because. That'd feel like I was cheating. Plus I probably wouldn't take anything off my list for it if I'm being honest

:dwillhuh: at you watching "Better Call Saul" before "Breaking Bad" though.

:whoknows: Lol don't know what to tell you breh. I'm weird

Well, the series makes perfect sense with or without "BB" (except for the opening scene in black and white which is post-BB) but there's a lot going on during the show that will go over your head.

But, do you. :manny:

Yeah so far I'm still enjoying it even without picking up on every reference although I get some of them because my people fill me in on stuff since they've seen breaking bad

this doesn't make much sense to me you might need to edit this one

Here's how the tallying system works...

1. = 10 points
2. = 20 points
3. = 30 points...

and so on. So make sure you put the shows you really want to make the final list at the top of your list before voting ends.

i'll say it from the get go that I'm big on comedy/sitcom so...

1. Seinfeld (undisputed GOAT in my book the Jordan/Jackson of series)
2. The Office (addmitedly last seasons weren't as good as the first ones but STILL)
3. MASH (can't believe nobody mentioned this yet, really great to me)
4. Mad Men (I realize that this ain't over but no matter how they end it too much piff already so it's gonna be in my top regardless)
5. Friends (replay value wise might be even higher)
6. House (over the top but my favorite medical show)
7. Married with children (low brow I know but grew up on it)
8. X Files (can you hear the theme song ?)
9. Breaking Bad (self explanatory)
10. Saved by the bell (damn the 90s were fukkin awsome)
