Homeland is bland as fukk after the first season. The writers must have all quit after that first season because quality and plot collapsed starting season 2;
Season 4 is the best season of Homeland so far. New story, new location, great story. First few episodes were kinda weak though but it gets really good. I can't write off Homeland just yet.

Better than season 1?:stopitslime:Nah breh, agree to disagree. Season 4 was not as bland as 2-3, but its not sufficient to the masterpiece that was season 1

I like season 1 and 2 for what they are, a great story. But Brody's family takes it out of masterpiece territory for me. Too many wasted scenes and storylines that had nothing to do with the show (Dana and the rich kid hit and run, The wife's affair and aftermath). Season 4 was solid all the way through with no filler storylines. Season 1 and 2 ain't fukking with 4 imo.

The problem with those scenes lies in season 2. They were supposed to lead to some great shyt down the road, but the writers screwed it up.

I just feel like season 4 was and is a lot more relevant to what's going on in the world today with terrorists. They did a great job of making you feel like you were in Pakistan and facing the threat of these extremists and a corrupt government playing sides with the US and the Terrorist. Very real shyt they touched on.

yea the themes/stakes were high, but the performances and plot were still on the "seen it, done it" type for me

Yea a lot of people were saying they took Homeland and turned it into a 24 type show with season 4. I didn't mind though since I've only seen the first season of that show.

The first season is loosely based on an Israeli series called "Hatufim". Season 2 the writers actually had to come up with their own story lines, that's why it low key turned into "24".

Miami Beach, the 305
1 The Wire
2 Breaking Bad
3 Mad Men (thecoli need to be watching this)
4 The Sopranos
5 Spartacus
6 Friday Night Lights
7 Boardwalk Empire (shame what this show could have been. Easily should have gone 10 seasons)
8 24 (greatest tv character of all time Jack Bauer)
9 Lost (Nostaligia to the first 5 seasons)
10 Martin (favorite sitcom growing up)

PS....if I could vote on only the first 4 seasons of Dexter it would be top 5 show for me. Those last 4 belong to the worst all time.

Current shows running
1 (after mad men goes off) Hannibal - this show deserves a fukkin audience. It's #1 by a mile

2 Game of Thrones
3 True Detective
4 Better Call Saul
5 House of Lies
