West Wing made the cut:wow: Bless you all

The West Wing is like the only Sorkin in which his style of dialog made sense, and fit perfectly. I loved Studio 60 & The Newsroom, but sometimes, his dialog didn't fit....especially with Studio 60. No modern audiences would've understood the brilliance of the jokes on Studio 60. That show would've been gotten the axe IRL. Hell, for Newsroom, it made it seem 40's style....almost spoof-esque.

You know what, he would've killed the industry if he had taken over Mad Men.

Yup he’s perfect for a screwball comedy era.

My issue with the newsroom is as good as the dialogue was, the characterization sucked

Deadwood. Extremely well-written characters, quotables for days, strong storylines that never wavered from the core narrative. Probably the most consistently great writing of any modern TV-series.
