That feud just wrote itself so easily, another missed opportunity on 2003 RAW due to you know who :snoop:

I don't think it would've been good. Total clash of styles.
HBK was best when he was getting the sh1t beat out of him and selling his ass off
RVD was just high spot after high spot

No RVD isn't. Terrible post.

He's pretty much commonly thought of as a high spot machine.

Just a quick google search:

Rope Break Presents The Mandatory 10-Count: Ten Botches and High Spots from the Week in Professional Wrestling – 3/23/13 Edition | Alternative Control

In TNA’s history, a few things can be said to have made it unique (in a good way!); the now-defunct six-sided ring, the since-closed open channel with ROH’s roster, the Knockouts Division and its superior women’s wrestling, and the X Division. Remember? “It’s not about weight limits, it’s about no limits”? Matches inspired by the high-paced spot-heavy style that Rob Van Dam spearheaded as ECW Television Champion in the late 90’s?

It wasn't all bad for RVD, as he was now the hottest heel in the company after being branded a "sellout" by the ultra loyal ECW fans. RVD spent the rest of the year battling ECW loyalist Tommy Dreamer and flaunting his WWF connections whenever he could. Moving into 1998, the "Mr. Monday Night" gimmick had wore off somewhat and RVD was suddenly hearing the cheers of the fans mainly due to his high spot orientated offense.

This is the sort of match I love to watch all issues with it aside.

It's not as smooth as their classic ECW matches, and some of the spots are a bit too contrived. Although I think that more a problem with how TNA run things. They hit a lot of great spots, but aren't given enough time to really make each one matter. A sign of what is one of the worst problems in pro-wrestling today, a lack of time to develop the in ring story. This match needed about half the high spots for the time given.

The match that guy was talking about:

I don't know, HBK got pissed at Cena during their match. RVD works super stiff and often blows spots. I could see Shawn becoming :pacspit::angry: in short fashion.

RVD's best matches were with Jerry Lynn for a reason. He finally had a great worker more experienced than him who could also keep up with him, and it brought the absolute best out of him. HBK would've gotten that much more.

Lynn is more patient and considered one of the most humble guys ever tho.
