True as that is, the ADOS plight has been too comingled with these other groups who feel entitled to the benefits. The significance of the ongoing struggle for ADOS was used as the template for domestic policy in how to handle other groups, so not only are we the blueprint to the passes they got but we're also the least compensated. There would have to be a grassroots organization strictly based around ADOS community development and group economics. There's no way around that, we need to control our dollar and we need to control some of these city, county and federal positions.

How would the federal reserve handle this situation on the ground? Will there be a watchdog committee to make sure this is properly carried out in every city? Employment disparities, specifically preferential hiring, have already had mixed results, affirmative action. Occupational crowding is another problem. Seems like we always get caught up in what the government is doing for us that we don't do immediately for each other. If there were more black people on code in positions to hire other black people and maintain quota we'd be a lot further along than we presently are.

When big government puts these mandates in order, as usual, there's a catch with someone either slacking on the job or getting their hands dirty and backdooring other minorities into the situation. This looks like a good idea up front, but there's always been a catch in how they deal with us on any level.

I don't care if they backdoor other minorities as long as it benefits ADOS/FBA

How can it benefit ADOS/FBA if the benefits are eaten up by other groups. This has been what they've been doing for well around a century give or take. ADOS/FBA needs to be a protected class as sole recipients of these benefits to make sure they get them. We don't need another rainbow coalition.

Imagine if Black folks controlled 6 senate seats across 3 states in the south where the government was beholden to us? That's why us migrating back to the south is the best near term solution to our problems.
I totally agree. I think this is what it will take. But at the same time I'm getting tired of feeling that we as black folk have to save this country from itself. These people hell bent on doing away with democracy and replacing it with Apartheid.

The only thing that I'm worried about stopping this migration back to the south plan is climate change.

Above the fray.

Federal Reserve Racial and Economic Equity Act

This bill requires the Federal Reserve Board to carry out its duties in a manner that supports the elimination of racial and ethnic disparities in employment, income, wealth, and access to affordable credit. The board must report on disparities in labor force trends as well as on plans and activities of the board to minimize and eliminate these disparities.

No Republicans supported this, unsurprisingly.
Different subforums on the board puzzle me.
If it's not "the CBC doesn't do/never did ANYTHING for Black people" it's "oh, so what, this won't change anything". I don't get it.

Without racial equality in government money management, even a reparations check could be wiped out and we'd be back to the starting point within a generation. Don't talk like the government hasn't already wiped out Black wealth before.

Excuses for what?

I'm saying we should push for racial equality measures as well as reparations. It would be self-defeating idiocy to push for reparations without other measures to protect wealth equality. That would be like pushing for justice in court sentencing while letting the cops do whatever the fukk they want to black people.

It would also be self-defeating to get reparations without any black owned and operated institutions to funnel that money into to develop for the sole development and advancement of black people. A problem the Kerner Report sought to deal with was the development of a refined black America, one with autonomy.

We've been pushing for racial equality, how is that going to work if when we get it we aren't functioning cohesively as a group with a collective interest. Depending on the government every step of the way has yet to really benefit us in developing communities that are to a large degree insulated from the effects of their decisions and economic downturns.
